First of all,There are only two types of perception when we are drawing. The product we drew that we see and think can classify to perceptual art and conceptual art.
What is the differences between Perceptual art and Conceptual art? This is the question my Design class lecture throw out.
The whole idea is very easy.
Perceptual=Sensory; Conceptual=Thought.
That is all,quite easy right?
Conceptual art is the expression by artist in which their special idea or concept. It must always be creative or takes shape in abstract. Artists rely on their thoughts and ideas to draw or sketch. The French artist Marcel Duchamp paved the way for the conceptualists, providing them with examples of prototypically conceptual works — the readymades, for instance. The most famous of Duchamp's readymades was Fountain (1917) . In 1970 Conceptual Art and Conceptual Aspects, the first dedicated conceptual art exhibition, was mounted at the New York Cultural Center.
Some of the famous artists:
Robert Rauschenberg(1953)
Isidore Isou(1956)
Henry Flynts(1963)
Christopher Williams(1989)
